Here's the translation into English: IMAGINE YOU ARE THE OCEAN. Write a letter to someone explaining why and how they should take good care of you.

Letter to Ariel – My Beloved Daughter!
Since the day you left the magnificent castle at the bottom of the ocean to marry the prince on land whom you loved with all your heart, thousands of years have passed, and I have missed you every single day.
Whenever cruise ships or tourists come by, I feel so happy and warm, as if I were meeting my beloved grandchildren! Sometimes, I gently stir myself, causing small ripples, to cherish these familiar feelings.
But do you know? Every time they come, my dear grandchildren leave behind wounds in my heart in the form of plastic bags, plastic bottles, which slowly sink into the depths of my being. These things take from 400 to 1,000 years to decompose. There are also times when boats break down, leaking oil and polluting a vast area. Moreover, some of your reckless grandchildren exploit my resources—fish, seafood, coral, and oil—causing my subjects to slowly die. At times, in my anger, your sisters send out "signals of sorrow" in the form of tsunamis and super storms, warning that your grandchildren must protect the oceans, stop destroying them, or the consequences they face will be severe and disastrous.
Do you know, my dear? For so many years, the oceans have covered more than 70% of the Earth's surface. The oceans play an essential role in nature and human life. Like the "lungs" of the planet, the ocean provides most of the oxygen in the atmosphere. It absorbs most of the excess heat from global warming, helping to "soothe" the effects of climate change. Many economies and activities, from fisheries to tourism, international transport, rely on the oceans. Moreover, the ocean is the beloved home of your children!
However, the situation now is alarming, with ocean pollution reaching red alert levels, severely affecting marine life. If no protective measures are taken, future generations will face grave consequences, such as lack of clean water and cancer caused by consuming creatures from polluted, microplastic-infested areas.
Therefore, my children, do not hesitate any longer. Start right now in the process of protecting and preserving the blue oceans. By taking specific actions such as collecting and processing ocean plastic waste; sorting waste at the source; changing habits of using single-use plastic products and non-biodegradable plastic bags; not disposing of waste or plastic incorrectly; engaging in responsible fishing practices, avoiding overfishing, and implementing recovery and cultivation measures for marine species. Use environmentally friendly products, biodegradable bags, and recyclable items. Frequently spread awareness about the harm of single-use plastic products, non-biodegradable bags, and their effects on the seas, oceans, and marine ecosystems. Enact laws protecting marine and ocean environments and establish penalties for violations.
Remember, my children: the ocean is the source of all life on Earth. Without the ocean, there is no life on this planet. A healthy ocean means a healthy planet. If the ocean dies, humanity will perish too. Therefore, protecting the ocean is protecting the lives of your children. Protect the ocean as you would protect your own home!
It is late at night, and the ocean is still and peaceful. My heart is heavy, and I send you this heartfelt letter, hoping that you and your husband will make wise and urgent choices and actions to protect and care for the ocean.
I love you both and all my grandchildren!
The Water King.
